August 2026
Happy August!
Whether you’re enjoying time with us on the farm or following along from afar, this month’s edition is filled with the latest happenings across our community.
Here in San José del Cabo, August has officially settled into the heart—and heat—of summer. We’ve found a few new ways to keep cool, from the announcement of Base Camp Cabo Pulmo to our hospitality teams’ beach club and boat bookings. You’ll find all of that and more in this month’s edition of Flora Farms Living.
Cheers, and keep cool, Flora Family!
AUGUST HAPPENINGS
CAMPO BASE
CABO PULMO
After years in the works, we’re excited to officially announce our partnership with Campo Base, a new off-grid retreat in the heart of Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park, opening this fall.
The camp features ten comfortable glamping tents for two to four guests, with communal bathrooms and showers in a central common area. Flora residents will have access to campfire meals, pétanque, diving, snorkeling, eco-tours and more. Imagine evenings around the fire, star-filled skies, and days spent exploring one of Mexico’s most unique ecosystems.
We’ve created exclusive 1- and 2-night retreat experiences with select dates and curated itineraries for our Flora community. Accommodations are complimentary; meals, activities, bar packages, and additional services can be arranged when booking. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meet the Team
Meet the Stay Flora Team
Many of our community members may not know that Flora offers a residential rental service for owners who are unable to use their homes during certain times of the year.
We maintain a large database of past guests and prospective renters, and we run a thoughtful marketing program throughout the US, Canada and Mexico to help you rent your home efficiently and with care. This program also helps our members get a higher than average nightly rate.
If you know you won’t be coming to Flora and would like to explore making your home available on our rental portal, please contact us at stay@florafarms.com.
Meet The Residential Sales Team
If you haven’t had a chance to meet Jessica from our Residential Sales team, be sure to introduce yourself. This new team is focused not only on improving the upgrade and resale experience for our existing owners, but also on expanding Flora’s reach through new marketing and sales channels across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
We’ve also dedicated a team to reconnecting with past prospects and interested buyers, creating new opportunities to introduce people to Flora.
With the additional introduction of Iliana, who will be managing the business and administrative side of Flora Farms Living, we’re excited about the future of our residential community and the opportunities ahead. You can reach the sales department at homes@flora-farms.com and the business team at hoa@flora-farms.com
HOA UPDATE
Meet Iliana
We’re excited to welcome Iliana to the Flora community.
With more than 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality, tourism, and property management, Iliana brings extensive operational expertise, strong local knowledge, and a detail-oriented approach to managing residential communities.
In her new role, Iliana will focus on the business and administrative side of Flora Residential Living, working closely with our owners and internal teams on matters including HOA administration, accounting and financial coordination, legal documentation, closings, vendor coordination, and day-to-day residential operations.
While Jesus, Azalia, Paula, and the rest of the hospitality team remain focused on creating exceptional experiences for our residents and guests, Iliana will be your primary point of contact for residential business and administrative matters.
You’ll find Iliana around the farm or she can be reached at hoa@flora-farms.com for any questions related to your residence, account, HOA, Private Unit or other administrative needs.
From The Kitchen
As we continue to improve the newsletter, one thing we heard from many of you is that you would love to see more recipes from the Flora Kitchen. Chef Aldo and the team have been hard at work creating recipes to share in upcoming newsletter editions — dishes you can enjoy while staying on the farm or recreate once you’re back home. This month, Chef has created a Farm Papaya Crumble - A taste of the farm in every bite. Our Farm Papaya Crumble brings together sweet, slow-cooked papaya with a crisp vanilla oat crumble, bright lemon curd, and refreshing mango sorbet. A simple, seasonal dessert that celebrates the tropical flavors growing right here.

Meet Your Neighbor
Every community is shaped by the people who call it home. This month, we’re getting to know one of our Flora neighbors a little better—what brought them to Flora, what they love about life on the farm, and what makes this place feel like home.
Name: Howie Goldklang
Home Town: New York City is where I'm from and Los Angeles, California is home.
I've been part of the Flora community for: 7 years.
Something other members don't know about me is: Most of my Flora mornings begin at dawn with a surf session, a long run and a notebook. Nearly everything I've written in this book started as a conversation with the road. A few of the poems were written at Flora.
Describe your perfect day at Flora.
A sunrise run to the harbor and a plunge in the ocean before I run back up the dirt roads to the farm. Coffee with no plans at all, reading in the shade, Arugula pizza for dinner at the Flora Restaurant. What's one thing about Flora that keeps bringing you back?
The ease of roaming around the farm. And the bloody marys. Oh and the Mangos. What does "farm living" mean to you?
Eating light and well, moving every day, spending time outdoors, and measuring a day by how unplugged I am from the real world.Complete this sentence: "Home at Flora feels like..."
....floating on my back in water, relaxed and full of wonder.
